Scoring from 2nd on a single with two outs?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes...

One thing I was very encouraged to see with OOTP 2007 was that not every batter scores from 1st on a 2-out double, like they did in previous versions.

However, I'm a little baffled by how the game decides who will score from 2nd on a single with two down, generally a pretty automatic run unless you're slower than the proverbial winter molasses.

I wish I had the PBP, but when I alt-tabbed to come to the browser window, the PBP went away and I have yet to figure out if I can replay the previous play's PBP.

In any case, the situation: runners on 2nd and 3rd. Runner on 3rd is a catcher, a 1 speed according to SISA and my head scout. Runner on 2nd is a 9 speed according to both SISA and my head scout. On a 3-1 pitch, the batter singles to right. The runner on 2nd stops at 3rd. The right fielder has a 7 arm (SISA scouted). I realize that it would be good to have more than anecdotal evidence, but over about 30 games played out in one-pitch mode, as far as I can tell, it's essentially random whether a player on 2nd will score on a single with 2 down, and bears no relation to the runner's speed, when almost every runner should score on this play.

Am I just imagining things? Is this just a sample size issue? Has anyone else noticed this? I'd be happy to gather evidence to pin this down if indeed it is a bug.

You're not the only one to question the AI baserunning. See this recent thread:

Hopefully, Markus will take another look at it next year.
