Another FaceGen problem

When OOTP 2007 first came out, I had no problem using Facegen. It worked just fine for me with my system and video card. A couple of days ago, I reinstalled windows and updated all drivers and now Facegen doesnt work. It keeps saying FaceGen not initialized.

This probably isn't an OOTP issue but i'm hoping someone with good computer knowledge can help me out. Other than updating drivers, what else could have happened that could have caused this problem?

I know that my hardware supports facegen b/c it originally worked.

It's stupid, but sometimes updating the drivers renders FaceGen unusable. The solution in those cases (and I don't know enough to tell you whether this is one of those cases) would be to try loading the next-most-recent driver. If that doesn't work, try the second-next-most-recent.

If that doesn't work, try PMing bp_.

Thanks, that's exactly what the problem was.

For anyone with a similar problem with an ATI video card (ATI Mobility Radeon x600), the newest 7.4 drivers don't work, but the 7.1 drivers do.

cool, there was a driver thread on the main board somewhere. It would be cool if you could find it and post this info there. I'm closing this.
