Crash on adding leagues

Tried numerous times to add a winter league to the rolen roster set, get to the final step of "add league' and get MS error report, and game exits?????

I've seen this problem at the beginning of game creation.

Tried loading Japanese DB and got continuing error, MS error message and game crashes when adding ***. Posted in tech forum in past, no response.

Have been getting same message and crash EVERY time i try to add a league, Anyone having this problem?

Is anyone paying attention, if we cannot add leagues, we have major problems.

Bumping in Tech Support is contraindicated. The official process in this section of the forum is that the oldest threads are addressed first. When you bump you make your thread 'new' again.

Mine was crashing too when I added a league. I went back into the game and added the league again and it worked. So it go me thinking, after you add the league and it DOESN'T Crash then save the game and repeat until all the leagues are added. Now, you have to save it everytime you add a league before you start adding again.

Hope this helps and you understand it, if not I can try to explain better but it worked for me

This just happened to me, except I added a winter league in the middle of a season. Now, my game gets to 100% loaded and just hangs. I can load a different league and it's fine, but I think I may have corrupted my 7 year history league. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Edit...My league loaded. It just took a really long time the next time I tried. I only lost 3 days of games since my previous save. Whew!!

Happened to me repeatedly (freeze actually) when trying to add single A ball to my league.

I had an MS error when creating 2 of my leagues. It came toward the end of the last step, but both leagues still work and run fine, so I didn't worry about it too much.

Not sure. I've been playing the same league since then, just haven't tried adding a minor league.

I think there is definitely something wrong with my league file. 50% of the time it causes a CTD on saving/closing the application.

Yeah, something isn't quite right there, for certain. Only the one league?

Dunno. I have one other league running that seems to be going fine. My other league is online and pretty small (Majors and AAA only).

Do you notice anything different about when the game crashes versus when it does not? Had you been playing longer? Doing something different beforehand?

I used the fitional MLB-style template that shipped with the game, complete with all minors and feeder leagues. I decided that was a bit too unwieldy, and after a season deleted all but the Majors, AAA and AA. That seems to be about when the CTD's started on saving the league. I then decided to try adding Single A. No joy.

2.02 beta. Problem existed with the last release patch as well.

Crimguy, do these problems only occur in leagues that were created using a version of the game prior to the beta patch?
