Game Stalls on single day
This is not a crash to desktop, but the universe I'm running has stopped on a certain day, it will not advance to the next day when trying to hit the advance one day icon, or trying to advance time through the menu above where you select sim week, month, etc......
I don't know, maybe it has something to do with the all star game because that's where it stopped. Also, I had simmed three years and had added another minor league. I've installed the beta patch hoping that would fix it, but no luck. Any suggestions, fixes? Thanks. |

Okay, more info:
I have five leagues in my universe. One major league, two AAA leagues, and two AA leagues. The major league and two AAA leagues have been in my universe since creation. The AA leagues were added in my last season. The major league and the AAA league have all star games that work fine. But, the game wants to play the all-star games for the AA leagues but they aren't on the schedule!!! What do I do? How can I add the all-star game, or get the game not to play it? The game's AI has already picked who is on the all-star team. This is really weird, how did the game not get scheduled and this was allowed to happen??? Any and all help is appreciated! |

Sounds very weird all around. FWIW:
1) I'm unable to reproduce the problem where a minor league is added and doesn't schedule an all-star game despite the ASG setting being on. Did you do anything unusual to the league, like change the number/alignment of divisions, or try to load a custom schedule? 2) If I delete the all-star game for a freshly created league, I don't experience any lockups. The ASG teams were indeed chosen before the game's supposed date, but I can go ahead just fine even with the game missing. Sorry to be no help, but this one looks rather difficult to track down... |

Do your AA leagues have two subleagues? I think there have been problems with all stars/games in single subleague leagues. Teams will sometimes be selected, but no game can be played.

Can you add an ASG with the manual schedule editor? I think the all-star teams show up on the team list after the teams are selected.

When the sim stops and tries to sim the all-star game (that isn't on the schedule), it shows sub-league one vs. sub-league two (but there are no subleagues!) Confusing indeed. |

Yeah, I can confirm that...changing from 2 subleagues to 1 results in wacky ASG naming when the schedule is regenerated. It should say "Division 1 vs. Division 2" or "Team 1 vs. Team 2" (for 4, 6, ... divisions), but as cprongs2 noted, it remains "Subleague 1 vs. Subleague 2" as on the original schedule.
On the other hand, it didn't stop me from advancing beyond the ASG... |

dola,
one more data point: Just tried what happens if the remaining subleague has only one division...regenerating the schedule didn't give an ASG (just as one would expect with only one division); I did receive a news message during the season that ASG teams were chosen (again for "Subleague 1 vs. Subleague 2"), but both teams were empty, and the game didn't stop me from advancing beyond the date of the non-existent ASG. I'm honestly not sure why your game is locked up...while I can reproduce the surrounding circumstances, I can't seem to get the lockup. |

...hmm... I'm not sure what else I may have done differently. That's my problem, but the game won't sim past that point.

I am getting the same problem as cprongs, won't let me advance after the scheudled All Star game when I only have one sub-league.
Has anybody sorted this problem out yet |

If you guys are still reading, could you take a look at this thread, please?
![]() You're saying that the game is locked by the ASG of a particular league...is it possible that you previously created another league of the same classification (Double-A or whichever), deleted that one, then created another one like it? That would possibly make it appear as though the active league is the cause of the problem while it's actually the deleted one (their ASGs would be scheduled to the same day by default). |

Has your problem been fixed with the patch?
