Contact Rating uneditable???

Is Contact Rating supposed to not be editable? I am using the latest version of the game.

Contact is a combination of BABIP (Batting Average on Balls In Play) and Avoid K's.

Right. You can edit those values to create the contact rating that you are looking for.
