I'm going to ask the obvious question: have you verified that all your site's FTP information is properly entered on the Online Options section of the league setup screens? Related to that, are you able to successfully upload a file to your server using that same connection information through another FTP client (FileZilla, or even Internet Explorer)?

These may seem like silly questions, and you may already have checked them, but it always helps to rule out the not-OOTP's-fault issues first of all.

Short,

Can you tell us the following?

1. Have you ever FTPed files to this server successfully in the past, and can you do so now outside of OOTP? For example, if you try and FTP just one file to the server using the same user id and password, does it work?

2. Does OOTP give you any error messages at all?

3. Did you actually generate the reports? You need to run the report generation process first, because that creates all of the reports that are to be FTPed to the server.

Thanks!

Steve

1)I have used SmartFTP program to upload to this server just today and also used on 15 of my other sites and it works.

2) I get no error messages at all. It acts like it uploads it to the server but it is nothing there.

3) Yes I've generated reports a day or so ago but now each time I try to it freezes up on me at 63%

I don't know what server anyone is using, but I just reported the inability to upload my .dat files to the sigames ftp this morning as well. Probably not related, but thought it might be worth mentioning.

Freezing when Generating Reports

Well I've tried to generate reports to upload the last 2 days and it freezes at 63% EVERY TIME. Any news on this?

It's for an online league.

Talking to this gentleman on AIM, we've found that he has an enormous number of leagues, including two copies of MLB, each with full history and a full set of minor leagues. That may be contributing to the problem.

Still having problems. Trying to upload without images included this time. Any other suggestions for what to leave out of the upload that might help?

He can generate reports again just fine, but he can't find his files on his server after uploading them. I'm not sure where to go from there.

It looks like only the first set actually exist. The second set all appear to be empty.

Someone who has actually done on-line commishing needs to step in here. I'm blindly guessing at things.

You bellowed? Well, OK, actually you IMed, but I prefer to imagine you bellowing across cyberspace...

shortd81: would you be willing to zip up just the .dat files from your league and upload them to your server, and then either post or PM me with a link to download them and your Commish password?

Got it, was just a little misconfigured on the DNS side being I have my own server and 5 IP's. Uploading just fine.

Thanks though.

For all of the rest of you if you have plesk and your server starts with /httpdocs/ you will need to put that in the directory field aswell.
