Smile Ballpark List

Hey,

I'm not sure if this a tech problem, but I thought I would post here first. I am trying to edit a ballpark in game from the "edit ballpark" menu. When I got to "select ballpark to edit" I get a list of all the ballparks I have ever downloaded. I removed all the ballparks in my "My Documents\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\ballparks" and put the parks in there that I actually want to use. The list still shows all the other ballparks though. It is difficult to go through the entire list, when the actual folder only contains 30 or so parks.

Is there anyway to have it only show the parks that are in the folder?

Thanks!

That directory contains ballpark pictures. The ballpark data itself is stored in the parks.dat file, so has to be removed one by one.

What can I use to edit the parks.dat file. By that I mean what text editor? Word and notepad just shows a bunch of jumbled words and characters.

It's an internal database structure and as such can't be edited directly. I have written a program that allow reimport of the parks.csv file but it doesn't delete any that are in the file but not in the parks.csv so it isn't suitable for your purposes unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply, redsoxford. It is a hassle to scroll through all the parks in the game.

I have another question if you don't mind. It is off topic to this post.

I was wondering if it was possible to import Minor League team history back into the game. I can get player history with no problem by editing the csv exports and re-importing into the game, but is there a way to do this with team history?

Yes, you'd need to fill in lots of blank lines in the teams_History.csv file and then use the re-import teams tab to get that data back in the game

Do you mean re-import teams tab from the game itself or from your editor?
If so where can I get your OOTP editor?

From my editor, edit the teams.csv (and the other teams files as well) and then choose the teams tab and your relevant game directory and click Start and then Load (or the other way round, can't remember which)

Oh, and if you're editing the csv's don't use Excel unless you make sure the last column on every csv contains a value (say the number 1) if it doesn't already contain something, otherwise Excel 2003 will stuff up the saving of the CSV.

Thanks a bunch redsoxford. It works
I've just put in 2005 batting stats for the Nashville Sounds of the PCL.
It sure will take a long time to do extensive history.

It's more than a hassle. I have probably over 100 entires in there. There are in no order and requires a load of time to look through. How would you manually edit the list?
