got a new problem (Crash)
Hello all,
Help! my game is crashing! here's the background info: I've been playing a league for a while now with no trouble at all. the first-year player draft was coming up in a few days and i decided to go online and pull some pics of random college players and matched them up with the top 20 or so guys in the draft pool (so they'd have pics when they entered the league). I went through and all seemed to connect to their profiles with no trouble. then i had a problem (unrelated) with windows media player and had to restart my computer. I saved my OOTP 07 league and closed the game. Then I closed the game itself and it was going through it's closing routine. Since I had just saved i felt this was kind of redundant, so i MAY have restarted windows before the game could close properly. -not sure if this matters. I got the computer back up and restarted my league - only this time it got stuck while loading at 100% and stayed there for a LONG while. I did something else and when I came back to it, the league was loaded ok. I went to the schedules screen to check my next game and noticed every starting pitchwer for every team had a generic facegen pic and the name J. Unknown. I went over to my team's homepage and then attempted to click on the pitching tab to check my rotation and the game crashed. I got a windows error message asking if i wanted to send an error report. then the game was gone. back to desktop. I thought maybe the new pics were causing a problem so i temporarily moved them out of the images folder and it didn't help. still crashed. I then moved ALL the pics out of the images folder and tried agin. still crashed Then I went into options and turned off facegen altogether. Now when I loaded the league there were no pics at all. no greyed out pics symbolizing no pic available, no logos in place of player pics..no nothing. just a white space. I figured this MUST have done the trick, but i tried to view my roster and CRASH again. I really am NOT looking forward to losing the whole league. My wife went out of town this weekend and i finally had a chance to play and now THIS. ARGH! thanks in advance for the help!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() |

There's not a lot we can do about this through the forum. If possible, you should follow the instructions in this thread and .zip up and upload a copy of your league's .dat files to SI's FTP server. Please make sure you upload the file to the right folder, and that you name it frogger6.zip. Hopefully one of the people that can poke into the .dat files can come along and let you know if it's fixable or not (li'l volunteer that I am, such things are beyond my power ![]() - Kai

I'm not sure why my post isn't showing up, but here goes again:
i follwed the instuctions and logged onto the FTP server, but it's telling me that i don't have authorization to add my files. any ideas? |

same problem
i am having the same problem since wen. it seems.I transfered the game over from 2006, and have never had this problem before. I uploaded my league file from my online league. I can go to my team and read the messages but when i try any other tab i get a windows error message that ootp has stopped working and it closes back to desktop. I downloaded a new league file from this past sim same error, i opened on of my saved games and same problem every time. I have never had this problem before, any ideas?

Not likely to solve things, but have you tried installing the final patch to see if it resolves your issues here?
