Question about Player Links in Game

Hello all,

I have been having an issue with 2007. I downloaded our leagues files, started the game, all the team data is correct, standings, wins and losses and the game date. On the teams though, there are position players in the starting lineups, and the links for the players reference totally different players. I have the 2.02 patch installed, have uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and still I have the same issues. The league file I am using works fine on my wife's computer. This file was working just fine last week, just happened recently. I am running Windows Vista 64 bit version...if that makes any difference.

I am totally lost with this now.

What time of year is your league at? Specifically, did any players retire recently (happens at the end of seasons and the end of each calendar year)? The player links can get messed up in the way you describe if you don't get an updated retired.dat from your Commish after retirements occur. Since retired.dat isn't included in all league files automatically (it's optional), it can be easy for a Commish to forget to include it the couple times it's actually necessary.
