Mac reinstall - won't accept serial no.
I just swapped Mac hardware and performed a profile/data migration using the handy Leopard migration asst. Now when I start up OOTP 2007, I get the licensing wizard.
No problem I think, and reenter my order info to get my serial number. However, when I type it in and submit I get an error -25005. I've triple-checked the serial and have entered it correctly. Any suggestions? |

The licensing ootp2007_eSellerate_key text file is located in
users/you/Librairies/preferences/sports Interactive/OOTP Baseball 2007/data/config/ This file could be missing, locked or might be damaged. You could also hold the option key and click the reinstall button on the first screen of the licensing wizard. It will prompt you for your order ID and email address and re-license ootp. |

I just checked and it's there. It has the proper SSN in it, and is owned by me. the permissions look ok (rw/r/r). I did attempt to reinstall using the Option key method and went through the wizard...but when it started all the way up it was in demo mode, and everytime I start it up it starts the ordering wizard again.

Start brand new.
Delete or copy/move the sports Interactive folder and delete the game. Reinstall the game and try it again. |

I wish I had thought of that. Of course, by the time I tried this, I got a "You have exceeded your reinstall limit" msg from the game.
