Rotations/Endurance levels resetting every year
In my game, in every league the computer resets the rotation size and pitcher endurance level every season to 5-man, normal endurance. This happens sometime between the Feb and before or on April 1st.
What is up with that? Why won't it stay set at what I choose? At this point I have to reset it for each league every season. ![]() |

Which version of the game are you using, please? Can you narrow down exactly when it happens? Are you playing fictional or historical leagues?

2008, latest version. Fictional leagues. Happens before the regular season, but sometime after the start of the new year. I have yet to find exactly which date it occurs on.

I hate to ask it, but could you go day by day in a test league and pinpoint it, please? That would go a long way toward getting this addressed. It may not be a certain calendar day, but maybe like the first day of Spring Training or the like.

I will advance it to the end of the season (I know it happens in the new annual year), and sim day-to-day and check the settings.
Now you KNOW that doing that for 120 days is going to be fun. Where do I send the bill for carpal tunnel rehab? ![]() |

It occurs as I process from Feb5 to Feb6. Not sure the correlation here, but I watched the settings change after hitting the day processing button.
This is MidKnight's 'Fictional Universe in a Box', but I have not changed any teams names or anything like that. Just the rotation sizes for the various leagues, and the endurance levels (using LOW for most). So as I said, it defaults to Normal and 5-man. |

No, Feb 1st. And I was shocked it didn't happen on the first day, as I felt it was probably tied to things that process at the start of preseason.
Let me run it again and see if it happens that day. Btw, I appreciate your effort in this forum. |

Yup.
Well, simmed it again from Feb1st to Feb6th and it did it again as it processed from 5-6. All rotations were set back to 5-man, and 1/2 of the leagues had their endurance settings changed to normal. |

no - they are as set in the template for that universe. i did not change them.
so let me ask this - has anyone else ever mentioned the AI resetting either the league rotation status or the endurance status? Last edited by SittingDuck; 04-23-2008 at 08:31 AM. |

There have been occasional posts, IIRC, about rotations being reset, specifically the game owner's team, but I can't recall issues regarding default endurance settings, at least re-setting them to default.
A better approach to this question (and it concerns me, don't get me wrong), might be to inquire whether anyone else experiences this problem using this roster set. It's quite possible there are users who do not alter these settings and are unaware it might change if they do. On the the other hand, it might not change for them. We should also try to determine if this is unique to this roster or fictional setting. The one thing that comes to mind, and I really don't recall for sure, is that I think Midknight created the 'box' in either v2006 or v2007, so if you're using OOTP8, did he re-create it? Or did you import it from v2007?

Well, this year the preseason starts on 2/4, and I found that both times I tested it, the rotations and endurance levels were changed on that day.
The endurance level for AAA and HS and NCAA both set to Normal; the others stayed the same. I really have no clue what is causing this. MidKnight, what version of the game did you create the FUiB with? |
