Trades completed no Players Showed up on Roster
I have OOTP 9. I made two trades. In each case the players traded left my roster and appeared on the other team's roster but the players I traded for did not show up on my roster. If I run a salary report I see that their salaries are counting on my team's finances. But they do not appear on any of my secondary rosters (ie., AAA, AA or A) or my major league roster. Where are they? Is there anything else I have to do? I checked the manual! ( I have used earlier editions of OOTP in the past and have made successful trades in the past).

Trades Okay, Catch 22 on Waiver designation
I figured out how to designate the first two trades for assignment. On a third trade I was told to to put the player on waivers for assignment. I put the the player on waivers, but when I go to the next day the program stops me and says I must assign or release the player, when I go to assign him to AAA it says he is still on waivers, and so on and so on.......... How do I proceed with the game?

Problem Solved I Quess
The player you were referring to was already on my 40 man roster. I got out of the endless loop by removing one pitcher from the majors 25-man roster, demoting him to AAA. I them assigned the player on waivers to the major league roster. That freed up the game and I was able to go to the next day. Then I just demoted the new player to AAA and elevated the pitcher I had sent down to the majors.
I think the game should have allowed me assign the player on waivers to the AAA club directly. |

He might have been out of minor league option years (especially if you moved him to the big leagues after he cleared waivers) or may have initially refused the assignment and then for whatever reason changed his mind.
