SP started back-to-back games.
I started a league using the MLB2008 quickstart that came with the install. On day two of the season, the Twins #1 starter, Liriano, started the game. He had started the previous game and had pitched 5 1/3 innings in that game a got the win. Apparently his stats for that game were not saved, so OOTP decided to run him out to the mound again. His stats were saved for the second game. As far as I can tell, Liriano's were the only stats not saved for the first game. This seems like a pretty serious bug. Will keep playing this league for debugging purposes.

EDITED OUT: Sorry, was thinking this was general forums. Didn't realize until after that it was TS.

Please note your problem in that thread, there may be something in there that can help you as well.

So you're saying that the fact that OOTP didn't save the game 1 stats for Liriano and let him go out an pitch the next day is a 'roster' problem? I seems to me that it's more an indication of an engine bug. Can you explain how the roster could cause such a malfunction? In the meantime, I'll copy my original problem-post over on the rosters board. Thanks for answering.

Both this issue and another issue are the same issue actually..
These two threads contain the same problem: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ack-games.html http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ins-loses.html So I'm seeing it as well, so it is obviously something wrong with the 2008 quick start. Right now 44 games into the season, Liriano has made every start for the Twins, but no stats are recorded for him, and the game acts as if he has not pitched, so he stays rested and is ready to make the next start. As far as I can tell his stats only show up in the Box scores, but no where else. I am attaching two screenshots where you can see they have been playing games, and also you can see only the relief pitcher stats are showing. If you need more information, let me know please. |

This is happening because of two things.
1. Liriano is retired in the game so he is not collecting stats nor does he use up his endurance so he is never tired after a game. As a person who is retired isn't actually pitching in a game. 2. He is pitching every day because you have start highest rested starter. Since he is listed as the number 1 starter and never has his endurance drop because he isn't saving his stats therefore not getting tired, he is going to get picked to start every single game because of the type of rotation selected. Had you have selected strict rotation he would start every 5th game like normal but still wouldn't have his stats saved until you unretire him. There are around 25 players that are retired in the league an on teams. I am sure that there will be an update in the near future to address the retired players that are on teams and their stats. Until that comes out the best work around is to go and find the 25 retired players and unretire them so that they start saving stats. I do believe that there are screen shots posted with the listing of these players. I hope that helps.

This should now be fixed for games created with a full reinstall of build 27 or later.
