How Do We Know

How do we know when a particular bug is fixed or being worked on.I'm very anxious to have that crash on pitcher injury bug fixed,or at least some info on whats happening and if the file sent over helped or not.

Well, if it gets a number, that likely means it is being looked at--or will. I'm not sure if they tell people when things are fixed until they release the fix list for the patch.

You won't know until the fix list is published (as noted above). I believe Markus said earlier that the next patch is due mid-July.

Once the bug is claimed fixed by the developers, the person who logged the bug is given a notification. If they are considerate, they will post as such in the thread.

BZ 272 is one of mine. You can be sure that I'll post an update as soon as I get one.
