Trading

Maybe this is just me and the way that I set up my league (maybe I missed a checkbox or something), but there doesn't appear to be a trade deadline. I continually get trade offers throughout the year. Last year, I even got one during the World Series. I'm confused as to why this would happen.

I do realize that trading may be possible after the deadline with waivers, but shouldn't that stop after say September 1?

It continues constantly in OOTP. Not a bug - a design choice. You are correct that offers made after your trade deadline can be accepted but then the players go on waivers and if any are claimed the deal is voided.
