BZ 1826: Human Manager BUG!!
I loaded a quickstart that had me managing the Milwaukee Brewers, but the following happened.
1. The game gave me the message that I needed to create a manager. 2. Created the manager but went to select the Milwaukee Brewers and it was not available in the drop down. All 29 teams were there. 3. I selected the Chicago Cubs instead. 4. Drafted the players, started the season. When I looked at my manager record is shows that I am 4-1 after game 2. Brewers at this time were 3-0 and I was 1-1 with the Cubs so I see that both teams records are going to me. 5. At the schedule screen it will give me the option of only managing the Cubs, but after I leave the game I played, it brings me to the schedule screen and the Brewers would be the only team not to have played their games. I then just select finish game and it appears to work, other than my manager getting the credit for the Brewers games. I deleted this league after putting in about 5 hours setting it up. I am going to try again but am testing a theory. I deleted the human_managers.dat file and hope that the game will create a new one when I re-create my league. If this doesn't work it makes the game unplayable with the quickstart. I am using a OOTP 2007 MLB quickstart with fictional players. I first created the league in 2007 and imported this into OOTP 9 so it is not an issue with the quickstart. It appears that the game is loading with the human_manager.dat file having the human manager manage the Brewers but no human manager is yet created. Once created the option is only set to select one of the other 29 teams, thinking that the human manager is already managing the Brewers. If this is a bug I hope that there is a fix for this..... ![]() |

DOLA
Reloaded the quickstart after deleting the human managers.dat file and still the same error. I guess it is back to the old drawing board of importing the league in from 2007, redoing the stadiums (ball locations). Damn this sucked..... ![]() |

Could you please upload a zipped copy of your .dat files in an affected league and let us know the file name per the following instructions?

I deleted the league and started over.... ![]() But I can duplicate the error easily. Doing this will create the error. 1. Create a league from a import from 2007 2. You will be asked to select a manager and team, do so. 3. Set up your league and save as a quickstart in OOTP9. 4. When you try to use the quickstart it will ask again to create a manager profile. You will see that the team you selected in step 2 is not in the list. 5. Create a manager profile, select any team. 6. Play some games and you will see that the wins and losses will be for both teams (the original import and the saved quickstart.) This is either a bug or we just cant import a league and then save it for future use as a quickstart in OOTP9. Sorry I deleted the league but the issue is easy to duplicate.... |

No, steps to duplicate are infinitely more useful than league files. Thanks!
I have logged this as BZ 1826. |

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch (post 9.1.6). If after installing it you still see this behavior, please post in Tech Support. Thanks.
