Cannot get file to load

I play in an OOTP 9 league called ASBL. I've loaded, deleted and reloaded the game and the league file more times than I can count but I still get the "cannot load world- old or corrupt file" message. What can I do ? I'm totally baffled.

I've also paid for the game and I'd hate to think that I spent 40 bucks for no reason.

Help please.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

If you go into the saved game directory for your league, what size is the file world.dat?
