No league schedule, too late to generate one

My league is stuck in between spring training and the regular season, but somehow there is no schedule. Everyone has off-days for the next 6 months. As you might expect, the game will not let me generate a schedule (off-season only). What should I do?

How did you get to that point? I mean, was this the first season of this league, or was it a new season after some sort of changes were made to the league or setup?

This is the second season after a two-team expansion. I think I clicked "regenerate schedule" twice for this season. After the second time, it seems the entire schedule was wiped. Is there anything I can do to save this save game? I'm going on about 15 years now.

I've had that happen when I've changed the league structure and forgot to regenerate the schedule. AFAIK, your only option is to reload the league from the last back-up. You have periodically backed up, right?
