Facegen problems

I'm having some trouble whenever I start a fictional league. When trying to load my custom jerseys and caps it won't happen because "...FaceGen is disabled on yoru machine or you have elected not to use fictional faces."

In the Game Setup menu under 'Player and Picture Options' it says 'FaceGen not initialized'. Under the game preferences menu Facegen is enabled, so I'm really stumped.

I'm fairly new to the game and not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

In addition, I have recently installed Football Manager 2008 on my computer. This also has Facegen. Any chance that this may have corrupted it at all?

I'm not very technically minded so all suggestions, no matter how obvious they seem, will be gratefully received.

Can you in the preferences screen set FaceGen to be one of the two 'troubleshooting' modes and see if that fixes your problem?
