Winter Leagues?

anyone here using winter leagues, and if so, what are the pros, cons and methods that you use.

As far as I've ever understood, they don't really work in OOTP. I've never considered trying them.

It seems like they would work better in online leagues because all the managers are human. The only issue I've heard of is that the CPU can't properly utilize winter leagues.
