Questions about creating a league

I am trying to create a league that is international and has teams and players from Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and maybe China. I know that you can change what country the teams are in, but does that mean that players for that team will spawn from those countries? I ask this because I notice that when you create a league, it asks what country the league is in so I assume most players will come from that country.

Where players come from is dependent on whether you allow foreign players (in the League Setup) option, and what percentage. If you want a league with only players from those countries, I think it can be done (probably through modifying the nations.txt file), but without OOTP in front of me, I can't direct you specifically.

Someone else?

The location of a league in a particular nation is partly about the ethnic makeup of the teams and partly about what cities the teams are in. I think the city is important only for weather (at least that's the only thing I can think of, as far as city-specific data) which figures into the ballpark editor. So it seems like you could create a very ethnically diverse league by setting Foreign players to a very high percentage (say 95%), and you could also put the teams anywhere you wanted, as long as you also edited ballparks for weather. At least, I can't think of anything else you would have to do.

Yeah, but he's looking (I think) for players ONLY from those countries ... its easy to get players only from 1 country, or to have teams in multiple countries -- but how to have an Asian league in Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and China but not the Dominican Republic?

Perhaps a modification of the baseball "worthiness" of other countries via the nations editor?

If you base a league in a certain country, then the players in that league will mainly come from that country. If your league is set in China, and you put "foreign players" at 10% then 90% of your players will be Chinese.

Yes, but again, the OP wants players ONLY from a few select countries. So if he sets the league in China and sets foreigners to 10%, how do you control that 10% to ONLY come from Korea, Taiwan, and Japan?
