Played SOM for years, but, found OOTP 3-4 years. Its the best baseball sim on the market. Start with a database of ALL players from 1871-2008, start your universe in any year with actual opening day rosters. Fully customizable, do everything a real life GM can do, trade, sign FA's, extensions, rule 5 draft. You can also go fictional if you like, set up a universe with any number of teams, from any country in the world. Its only $39.95, downloadable. No extras of any kind to buy, but there are many mod makers f\doing Photo sets, logos, alternate DB's roster sets, all free. Over 3 million posts on the ootpdevelopments.com web site. a great community.

Many online leagues of all types, historical, fictional, even hobbits. Am personally in 5 online leagues.
