Historical Change to Free Agency

IS there a way to simulate with financials off until 1975, then turn them on to play with free agency? In other words, how can one simulate MLB until the free agency perion, then make it happen?

I haven't tried starting a game with financials off and then turning it on mid-game. But I have changed the free agency rules in mid game. Set your minimum service years to 25. That will keep almost all players out of free agency. Then modify that in 1975. I think you have to do it just before end of season as I believe it will take effect at season roll over, not mid season

During pre-season, league setup, disable/enable financials.
