Sorting by last year played

Is there any way to sort the retired players by the last year that they appeared? I am trying to find a way to note players that are elligable for the HoF.

It would be great if I could sort players with 10 years of minimum major league service time and then by last year played but that may be asking too much.

The deafening silence tells me that I'm out of luck.

How do you track HoF candidates?

I would love to have an HoF ballot feature in this where we set up the criteria.
re:

Min. service requirement ____
Years inactive ____
Remove from ballot after ____ years

Everyone meeting the criteria is placed on your anual ballot and those not selected are eventually dropped.

So, no one has a decent method of doing this?

Unfortunately there is no way Chris. I added this to the suggestion list for OOTP 12. Hopefully it gets added for next year. Basically the way I do it is by looking at the transaction log on January 1st of every year and see who has retired. Then I add those players to my shortlist by right clicking and adding them over. Then I analyze their career stats on my shortlist page. Of course, this is also a bit annoying because I have other players on my shortlist as well.

Thanks - Using the shortlist is a good idea. Better than anything I had anyway.

Creating a HoF ballot would be a great new feature to be sure.

Well, I started my own HOF ballot set up. Each 1/1, I'll put qualifying retirees on a ballot to be used 5 years forward.

I have never really played OOTP until now. I have my DB issues figured out and am finding this to be far better than sliced bread. Great fun!

Chris,

This is a pretty cool idea. One that I think I'll start using myself. Thanks for sharing!
