Can't Protect Players

I am playing a historical league and I got up to 1992, the first expansion draft since I started (1986). I never changed my First Year Player Draft date, so it was set for right after the season. The day after the First Year Player Draft, I am supposed to select the players I am protecting. I can't do that because on the page I am supposed to choose my players, it is blank. Is this because of the First Year Player Draft being right before, and if it is, how can I fix it to continue moving through my offseason.? I tried both canceling the expansion draft and moving it but I couldn't figure out how to do that and now I am stuck. I can't sim or do anything. Any ideas?
