Note that Miller was previously listed as L_Otto_Miller in the facepack. I have changed his name to Otis_Miller to remain consistent with SABR and Baseball-Reference.

There were two players called Otto Miller playing during the 1920s, and there has been much confusion between the two.

Lowell Otto Miller played for the Brooklyn Superbas/Dodgers/Robins from 1910-22, and coached the team from 1926-36. He was not affiliated with any other Major League team.

Otis Lewis Miller played for the 1927 Browns and 1930-32 Red Sox.

The otto_miller_rsx image in the batters pack shows Lowell Otto Miller as a coach for the 1931 Brooklyn Robins. He was never affiliated with the Red Sox. The Otis_Miller photo in the batters pack also shows Lowell Otto Miller, this time as a player for the ca. 1916-17 Robins.

I would recommend that the otto_miller_rsx image be removed, and the Otis_Miller image be replaced with this one.

Has there ever been thought of dividing this thread into decades? Having them all archived is great but to search through 100's of pages is rather extensive. Having a 20's, 40's, 60's 80's etc would seem to make sense. Just throwing it out there.

While not quite the same, I have started the long process of downloading every decent (and some not-so-decent) photo that is not "facepack" sized on this thread. After I was done with that, I was planning on separating the players by team and years. To minimize that task, I could separate them by decades at first and then work on teams and singular years. Regardless, it will take some time as there are so many thousands of photos posted here.

I understand what you're thinking of, and will consider re-structuring if there is enough call for it. My initial reservation is that management of 15 separate decade threads (1870s through 2010s) would be much more involved than the current single-repository model.

If, as I said, there is general call for a different structure I believe there are some other issues that we would have to address (none of which would be insurmountable), but before going into those issues I would be interested in hearing other views (either posted in this thread or via PM for those who wish to keep their views private) on the subject.
