In one of my other threads when i was listing modifiers, Spritzie said something about OOTP12 has the ability while playing historical to be able to play the game modified (ie as if every yeaer is playing to 2004 for example)

I bought 12 just to try that out

How exactly do I do that?
On the strategy page, just keep updating the year to 2004 for example. I used to try that with the old 10 version and it never worked.
So what is the trick

change the erastats.txt file in the database folder. Make all the years have the same stats of your target year. You can do this easily in a spreadshhet.

Also remember that OOTP txt files are really standard csv files so rename it to .csv before you suck it into your spreadsheet and rename it back when thou art done.

hey spritze

i did however look at the modifiers page-
(i don't have the game open in front of me, the last page in the games option)
and now i can easily choose a year, and the modifiers automatically come up
with 1902 for exmaple started with something like a 229.000 modifier in home runs
then when the season actually began, it changed the modifier to something like 8.200
i had players then leading the league with 28 home runs
All the other catagories, 2b, k, w ect all seemed to work out very well

i may just have to boost the home run modifier slighly to get it at the modern level

have you given any test to this
