Question about Spritze/Gambo DB

Noob question: How do you install this DB? I have version OOTP 12 of the DB (suppose it works with 13) installed it by overwriting the current stats by the ones in the DB. Then I start up a historical league, point the path to historical_database.odb..but once my game is loaded up I can't seem to find the new players. AAA, AA etc. are still empty.

Use the keyboard not mouse to copy & paste. When you start a new historical game choose "show advanced options" instead of "summary" and select the Master.cvs for the DB. You should be good to go at this point. I will post screenshots later on if that would help.

Ok, and how will I know it worked? Will I find the players in the FA section or the minor leagues filled up?
And do I have to check the box require full minor rosters?

Depends on how you set up your historical leagues.

No.
I set up a historical 1952 season with AAA, AA and A included (complete history imported) and under advanced options I point the path to database Stats/master.csv. Now when the game is loaded up I will find all the minor league teams of the three levels in the menu, but they are all empty.

That's because of 3 main things. One, there is not enough ML players to fill up AAA. Usually in any 1st year you have between 3-12 players for AAA. You won't need AA & A til year 5-10. 2. You did not change the minor leagues rules by chance. Make sure you have your 40 man and roster call ups correct. You should have at least a few players in most years. 3. The game/DB does not have historical minor leaguers, so once again 3 levels for a 1st year is way too many. I may have missed another reason or two.
When you start 1952 with reserve rule how many players are on it for the team you chose? You can add AAA after league creation, affiliate the teams and change the roster rules under League setup Options, historical and Rules. Also if there are enough players to have a full AAA make sure ghost players are turned off.

Thanks again, I think I get it now.. I started up another season, this time with AAA, AA, and A turned off, but reserve rule on. There are around 10-15 players per organization on the reserve roster. Maybe I'll add another level of AAA later in the game but for now I have enough players.

Something else you may want to think about next time, is keeping each database in it's own folder.

For example, within the "stats" folder I leave the original files alone.

Then I have extra folders in there labeled:

OOTP13 which is just a copy of the original
OOTP12
SpritzeHS

etc...
