Do you play as GM only? - Page 2

I mostly do option 1 so I selected that one. But I will make changes to the lineup or rotation if I feel they are needed. Sometimes it's because I disagree with the manager but more often than not it's because I want to see how a prospect or player performs in a bigger role.

I can't really vote because I play a number of leagues a number of different ways. Sometimes full on GM sometimes more managerial. Just depends.

Right, maybe I should've let people pick multiple answers. Even I do all kinds of things when I do fictional leagues (which is not that often). Kinda just had 2013 mlb quickstart in mind.

And for my solo leagues I neither manage nor GM. I play at god, watching over the entire universe.

Thanks everyone for responding. I'm really surprised how many people (almost 40%) play only as a GM, and handle none of the manager's responsibilities.

I take full control except minors lineup. I play out every game and like to take things slow watching my prospects, leaders board, etc. It takes a few months to play out a season but it's worth it to me.
I like to think my in game managerial skills make a difference in the game. I would like to see more options when playing out games but the way it is it's pretty good. Do miss the throw at batter option.

Eventually I'm going to do one like that, starting in 1901 with the real teams and fake players, and just let the league evolution take it from there.
