Question on a setup

Ok so guys I want to setup a league that has a major league w minors an also have like an independent league that washed out vets and scrubs can go to if unsigned. I basically want it to work as how real Indy leagues work, but not so tons of players sign there....I want it to behave as real a possible, any ideas and can it be done?

For that to work, you would need to reduce the financial a ton. I tried it a few times and it didnt work the way I wanted. THere are others more qualified to further help you, but try cutting the fianacials in half for the other league

Bear in mind that independent leagues will still generate their own free agents every season.

Ahh i see what you guys mean. I just wanted to have it emulate real life where player x has to go to japan for ex to revive/continue his career or in the nba where a guy goes to europe for the same reasons

I am still on 13, so i dont know how the new features will affect this. I started a MLB in 1999, In 2003 I created my EBL league with 1973 Financials & Strategy. I have the following players on my ML roster: Jermain Dye (80K 1 yr), Gabe Alvarez (min), Damian Jackson (250 for 2 yrs), RA Dickey (trade min, he sucks) Matt Mantei (150k), Felix Heredia (200k 2 yrs) Shingo Takatsu (trade also sucks) You may want to lower financials to 1950's and leave strategy to modern or if there is a setting for indy Leagues.

I am doing this and it's working pretty well, except for all of the extra free agents. I have the league set up with no draft, so they can only sign free agents. I have the financials set to 0.3 of my richest major league, with free agency after 3 years instead of 6.

The players are mostly has-beens and never-will-bes, but occasionally there is movement from the Indy to one of my 2 major leagues.

It adds a lot of flavor to my baseball universe.
