Issues Importing 13 Saved Game into 14

Good Morning,

I've submitted a support ticket for this but I thought I would pick the collective brain of the forum members here to see if they have any ideas on this issue I'm having.

I am attempting to bring my Blue Jays Dynasty into OOTP from 13 to 14. I got to the offseason and attempted to import. Everything copies over fine and then when it attempts to load for the first time the game crashes. Upon restart the game says that the file can't be opened as it was created using a different version of OOTP. I have tried to import 4 different times and every time the game crashes when it tries to start up.

I ran a check disk on the files on the external hard drive and they are not corrupted.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Can you go back to OOTP13, run it for a few "days," then try again? Also, how about doing a backup (of all files) and trying the import from that copy of your league?

I just tried to open my OOTP13 league in 13 and it is now crashing. There must be an issue with that game. Its funny I just had the game open yesterday and it was fine.

I have a back up but its 2 game years old. I think I may just start a new game from scratch in 14.

This is quite frustrating

Maybe try reinstalling 13. Also, try creating a test league in 13 and then simply see if that test league will run in 13. If so, try importing that into 14. If you run into problems with that then you have at least (likely) eliminated that the problem isn't with your dynasty league... Just a few thoughts. Good luck.

Agree with this. Try importing a test league from 13.

Sounds like the first file got corrupted during import, and that corruption affected the 13 file in the process. Which is why it will no longer open in 13 either.
