Expansion Draft Problem HELP!!!

I have created 2 expansion teams and are awaiting the expansion draft. When I try to simulate to the next day, I get a warning telling me before I simulate I need to finalize a protection list...I have already done that for both expansion teams. What do I do to advance?

Help!!!!

The protection lists should be for the non-expansion teams. If you are controlling a team, have you set that team's protection list?

What I did before the draft was generated fictional players for my team. All non expansion teams already sent in their lists of protected players. When I scroll through the all MLB they have theur protected list set. Is this a bug? I really don't know how to progress forwards? Could this be an issue because I generated fictional players and I have a set roster?

Something along those lines would be my guess. Maybe try deleting all the guys in your organization and trying again? I don't think the game expects an expansion team to have a roster going into the expansion draft. That's what the expansion draft is for, after all.

In another company's text sim baseball game, the expansion teams came in normally with some players already included before the expansion draft. In that game some of those players were protected. I would guess the same is happening here.

Why did you create players for an expansion team? That is the point of the expansion draft.

Sometimes Teams will fill their Minor League Teams well before the Draft.

In OOTP, the expansion draft occurs 1-2 days after the teams are created. It is possible to have players on expansion team rosters before the draft.

To the OP: What team are you controlling (expansion or not)? Can you tell if all the AI teams have their protection lists finalized?
