Online Utilities (OU) for OOTP 13

I have a suggestion for the next version . widgets so that we can put the standings on say wp or any other website and it update automatically. and also widgets that can be put on pages and they show news feed from the ootp thu the csv files that is used in ootpou .

When setting up it asks for rating scale, talent scale and so on. You options of ratings or scouted....

If the league uses scouts what should we choose? We use ratings 1-20

Also, we are using an inaugural draft in my other new league I'm putting together. During the draft will teams be seeing their scouts ratings or OSA's rating?

New in OOTP 14 is the ability to export the csv files using the OSA ratings, which works well for scouted leagues. In the CSV setup in OOTP, you should be able to switch from true ratings to OSA ratings. Set it to OSA ratings and use the 1-20 scale in OU, and you should be good to go.

Getch u ever add to ootpou the ablity as admin to hit complete draft and it finishes the draft based on the gm settings? I.e. auto,use list and so on? I just setup the draft in ootpou and will start it next Monday so wanted to know

My utilities, Sim Results, dont have the design on the top or on some pages. My server and reports set up in the admin page appear to be correct. I can still access my reports from the utility. Any idea?

One quick question.

I got my computer back and went into FileZilla to upload my CSV files for OOTPOU and they aren't saved as CSV files now they are saved as spreadsheet in an overwritten or updated installation as OpenOffice.org.spreadsheets.

Is there a way to get these back to recognizing the CSV dump as just CSV files?

Any advice is very appreciated as I am setting back up.

Here is my league setup...Ran 100 year for history purposes

Released all players into free agency and scheduled free agency draft

I exported the csv and placed properly. However, it's not pulling the players in the free agency at all.

I wonder if the underlying issue is that initially there were players that did not sign with their teams from the previous years draft and were showing in a draft pool. I have since deleted the players and now they don't show up anymore in the draft players on the utility like they were before.

Any help....Can we use this utility for the free agent draft?

Yes there is but u don't really need to unless ur opening them up . They ate in correct format but u opened it up with OpenOffice once and made OpenOffice the defualt for opening that type of document. Right click on the file and open with then select office Excel and check the make default check box then Ull be able to open it up as normal. I think that u.may not have Microsoft office Excel and that's y OpenOffice is default. U can still ftp the files to ootpou and use them with no issue .

Also try and use coffecup free ftp it is so much better to use and u wont have as many problems

Now I want to load the amateur draft (game date is April 4th) draft is scheduled for June 5th. For some reason though it's not pulling the ammy guys it's pulling from the same list of players that were previously eligible for the draft...

What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind I remembered I had to go into the draftutil.pm and change a setting.

Having tons of trouble with the LiveSim module. I've tried everything and the utility is not picking up any games. I've put logs into the cgi-bin/OOTPOU/liveSim/100 folder, I've uploaded game logs to the lgreports2 subfolder I created (because I use mysql for reports), I've tried it all. Anyone know any tricks or have detailed instructions on how to set this up?

I wish I could help. The read me section for that is down so I've never been able to get mine ready to even try.

I once asked Getch the same question this is what he said

"Probably hitting a memory limit on the process. League got big enough that it took too much memory.

Any way to increase the memory? More and more people are hitting this so at some point I need to rewrite the dev utility to save on memory. Just loathing that day..."
