Bought Game, Now What??

Ok I bought the game yesterday (Friday) and I downloaded the MLB 13 league from the add ons.

I started the game, but I really don't know where I need to start with everything. I am playing games with the Manager controlling some games and me controlling some. I am not sure what other settings I need to look at. Are there any helpful videos or threads I need to look at?

These videos are for the 13 version but are generally helpful - keep in mind there is a ton of options in the game so it's best to start slow and ease your way in.

Also make sure to look at your manager options screen - that is where you can delegate a lot of stuff to the AI - at first you may not want to have to deal with things like promotions from the minor leagues, setting lineups, etc, and in this screen you can change that. Click on the house icon under MNGR on the right side of the screen and go to the Manager options tab.

Learn to love the team home screen - the house icon on right side at the bottom under your team name - tons of info here about your roster, minor leagues, front office stuff (Salaries is very important for re-signing players.)

Once you start a game do a complete backup then if something goes wonky or you make a mistake you have the original game is still there.

You'll love this game!

My game starts with no pictures - facegen or otherwise - for my entire roster. Is this normal?

I think so, I think it is a copyright law issue. When you first open the game on the main screen, very bottom center, you will see Add On Central. Click this, you want the 2013 All In One Mod. Download that, then create a New Major League Game. That should fix you up. If not post here.

Actually the answer is Yes and No. Even though the game doesn't come with any photos it will still create facegen pics for all players. It all depends on your Picture settings. You can access them by clicking the game tab and under advanced click setup and options. On that page click the Player and Picture options tab. On that page on the right hand side are your picture options. Set them to your liking.
