How do I change the start date?

I wanted to start a new Major League mode game in OOTP, but every time I start it, it starts from 2 days before opening day. How do I make it so that I get to start from the beginning of spring training?

I'd love to be able to start any day as well! (mlb quick start) primarily when I'm going to be adjusting the start date/schedules of various leagues within the universe.
