Question about Historical seasons and drafts, basically are they exploitable?
When playing a historical season, how do the drafts work, and what I mean by this is, for example, I started my franchise in 1977 with the Blue Jays. Of Course I know that Cal Ripken was an amazing player and should not have slipped as far in the draft as he did.
Do the players get drafted where they would have if all the teams knew how good they were, or are the drafts completely beatable and then is it easy to stack your team picking players that were drafted much later than they should have been? Or is it completely random and could say a 5th round pick like Dave Stieb by the Jays in 78 become no better than an average hurler? I'm just wondering how these drafts work and if they are too easily exploited in future years. Thank you! |
