What does the checkbox in the roster view do?
Does anybody know what the checkbox on the left side of the roster view do?

I looked in the online manual and don't see any mention of it.

That is for manipulating players en masse.

Check on the boxes of all the players you want or check the box at the top to select them all and then right click on one of the selected players and anything you choose to do to him will be done to all the players you checked.
