Editing player ratings

How does someone go about changing a player's fielding rating to add a new position? I went to the player and pressed editor and saw the ratings of the player. The player has an experience rating in the position and it did not show a resulting rating. Can anyone help me with this problem?

In addition to experience ratings, you also have to give the player some defensive ratings (the box just above experience) which are commensurate with the position you want him to play.

For example, if you are trying to make a shortstop, he must have decent ratings for infield range, error, and arm. The scale is 1 - 250 and if I recall properly, 100 is the lower threshold for at least average.

Once you have sufficient defensive ratings and experience, you will see a number appear in the "Resulting Rating" box next to the position. It's the combination of defensive ratings and experience that make up this number.

I did all that and it came up. But, when I look at the player's page, it doesn't reflect the position. Will it adjust itself the next time a game is played?

Are you using Scouts? If so, you'll need to re-scout the player to see the changes.

Yes, indeed. Good catch BN. cyh, eventually the player would be rescouted but if you don't want to wait, look for this in League Settings, Functions:
