Unable to Load an Online Game File

Hello,
Even though I spent an hour with a buddy who has played this for a long time online, and though have neatly placed the saved .lg folder into the saved game folder, the saved game does not show up in the "Load Game" menu. I am unsure what else I can do. This game is worthless if I can't play online.

Do you have multiple versions of OOTP on your computer? If so, is it in an older version?

I cannot tell from the screen shot, are you Mac or PC?
Did you do a default install of OOTP?
Stretching on this one...
Did you have to create a saved_games folder?
Do you have any solo leagues? Are they showing up in the load game screen?
