I would like to suggest a lil quick-start guide for noobs like me ^^

Wanted to say hello and that I'm loving the game so far.

I've been meaning to try OOTP for years now but the grand scope of the game has been daunting to dive in, but I finally gave it a shot.
It took me about a week to read and "study" the game so I can start a new game with all the mods and setting/options I like.

First off, a lil something about me.
Been a long time baseball fan, a long time suffering Pirates fan, and recent sabermetric convert
I've been a big baseball game fan, The Show, MLB 2K, MVP etc.
and I'm sure there are converts like me who wanted a more realistic indepth GM mode game.

I've finally "get it" and i've been playing without too many hiccups, but I though quick start guide would be very helpful for new users, who btw hate to read long manuals .
something like check off list of things to do start a game, like DL the All-in-One mod, check here and there in the game/league settings, change trade frequency and scouting details to one's likings, don't forget to check out international FAs, etc.

anyways, love the game so far, and thank you
