Player Accuracy

I started a league in 1871 and have a couple questions I was hoping to get answers to.

1. It shows my age in the game. Will it at some point force me to retire or if I simmed all the way to 2014 would I just be 170 years old? It would be cool to take a franchise from inception to modern day with expansion drafts and such but I don't want to get ten years in and be forced to quit.

2. When I started my league I had historical players and modern players for the first season, but when I made it to the second season all the players in the draft were fictional. What did I do wrong so that next time I get real players in the draft each year.

3. For Hall of Fame purposes does it take into account that during the early years players only played 30 or so games per season. I drafted Mike Trout for my team and he only hit two home runs. Are stats adjusted for the HoF for the period the player plays?

Thank You

You will continue to age. You will not be forced to retire.

League setup - Options Tab - "Automatically Import Historical Rookies" check the box beside it. You will also be given an option to assign them to their real life teams or have them go to the draft.

No. You have the option to set HOF criteria in league setup - also on Options Tab. You can disable automatic induction and do them manually if so desired.

Thank you for the response. On the question of the hall of fame. If I make the requirements easier...say lower the homerun from 500 to say 200, can I make it 500 again later without affecting previous inductees? I appreciate the help, truly.

Yes. You can also manually induct players if you don't want to change the requirements back and forth. Simply check "Disable HOF induction".
