No criticism intended here, just informational: the Milt Pappas image above is from 1967 (I believe May 24 or 25). Topps did not shoot any major leaguers between mid-season 1967 and spring training 1969 due to the then-fledgling Players Association's insistence on a contract covering all players. So when Topps Vault identifies an image of 1968, they're mistaken.

[Expos 1969-2004]

Jeff pitched in 4 games for the Expos during 1987.


The picture posted on page 894 was taken after 1990 when he was a minor league coach (see back of the card). He looked a bit younger when he played for the Expos.


Pictures joined: Postcard published in the 1990's, back of same postcard, 1986 card with the West Palm Beach Expos and a B/W picture published in a 1987 mag by the Expos.


No criticism intended...I just wanted to let you know. The search for a color picture of Fischer taken in 1987 still remains.

Here are undated photos of Vic Harris & Gene Locklear that seem to be in line with the request.


Thank you Merkle for the info on Topps in 1968. That and expansion, I guess, explain all the no-hat and old uniform shots used in the 1969 Topps set which is one of my least liked sets. Did Topps also have problems with Football at that time? I see many 1969 Football cards that have guys in old uniforms from other teams.
