Possible Stat Bug

Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before, I just noticed it myself, and don't remember reading about it. I just noticed that a players OBP is different when you look at his batting stat screen compared to his career batting stats screen. For example the following two images. 'Cuse the horrible cut and past job. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this. I've run multiple season tests, and have noticed it in the leagues I'm in, all which use the latest patch, as well as the one solo league I run.

Thanks
Matt

It's been posted before and the errors remain in 5.12 as you have noted. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for OOTP to calculate OBP correctly with version 5.

It calcuates OBP incorrectly in different ways on different screens in the game, lopping off various parts of the formula.

In the instance posted above, it appears that the 5 SF by the player were dropped.

The reason that the OBP is calculated differently is because certain stats are not kept for a player's career. Therefore, when career OBP is calculated, there are some numbers missing. This results in a very close, but not exactly accurate statistic. Unfortunately, even if OOTP5 or future versions began tracking these stats, it wouldn't help those leagues that began with prior versions.

If one of your players has a talent for getting plunked by the pitcher, the OBP can be off by a significant margin.

As OBP is the most important stat in baseball, OOTP's inability to track it correctly is mildly embarrassing.
