OOTP 15 update #6 (build 15.6.34) is available now! (Updated October 27th)

Update October 27th: The previous patch introduced a problem with missing ballpark images when playing out games in newly created leagues. If you have this issue, please download & install the new patch (version 15.6.34) below over your current installation and create a new game. Thanks!

Update October 14th: The prior version of this patch no longer had Opening Day rosters, but rather ones that reflected rosters from early August. That was a mistake, so we reverted the rosters back to Opening Day and updated the patch version number to 15.6.33. If you want Opening Day rosters for new games, please download & install the patch below over your current installation. Thanks!

Hey guys,

We have just officially released the 6th update for OOTP 15, version number 15.6.34. It is a maintenance release which fixes reported problems, including 3D issues on some graphic chipsets and issues with Mac OSX 10.9.6 and Yosemite.

Important: This update is only for OOTP 15 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is NOT compatible with Steam or the Mac OSX AppStore version! Those updates will be submitted and made available ASAP.

Update Info: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here are the improvements / fixes compared to version 15.5:
- Fixed issues with some graphic chipsets displaying 3D mode
- Fixed problems with licensing on MacOSX 10.9.6 and OSX 10.10 (Yosemite)
- Improved in-game AI
- Improved play-by-play commentary
- Fixed several user reported bugs and glitches

This is likely the last update for OOTP 15 as development on OOTP 16 has already begun. Thanks everyone for the support, this has been the most successful version ever for us!

For OOTP 16, is there any way you can go back to the old system of patching? Where you don't have to download the full installer every time? 294MB is pretty big for a patch (IIRC previously they were about 60-90 MB?).

I second this request, though for different reasons. I don't want my team_nick_names.txt, hints.txt, and custom databases to be overwritten every time I install a patch.

Have you ever considered releasing an end of the year roster set, with updated rosters and ratings? I think you could sell such an update for $9.99. Maybe a release just after the regular season ends, before the playoffs begin.

We may not end up releasing them at all this year.

We're a little slow getting everything updated between real life and some projects we're working on

I'll talk with haveband and figure out for sure if we can release something or not.

I have been here for them all and I have been happy which each game that I bought at the time and but this one is one of the best if not the best releases I can remember. Great job ootpd. This is the game that gets the most play from me for sure!!
