You can already do this 1) manually or 2) by downloading one of the customschedules available in the mod forum.

1. Not sure there are plans to have the old parks officially released. Some were created as mods last year and I imagine more will be this year.

2. I think the improvements to 3d will be more gradual, most of the stuff you're talking about certainly won't be in OOTP16

(The other independents using Pointstreak did, though the United League was spotty in its reporting.) Heck, even the Pecos League's final standings are questionable as they often do not balance.

And if you've ever seen the Pecos League's own web site, it's, well, horrid.
It may technically be semi-pro, I wouldn't be surprised. But it is generally considered a full indy minor league, so we included it. There are a couple leagues that are even more sketchy that we didn't include.

Was really hoping for an improved shortlist system. Unless I have missed it, looks like another year without this needed change.

Markus, this looks great! I do have a question though, in the screenshots in the announcement, there appeared to be just silhouettes of the players, no face gen?

Facegen is still there, but the real player faces can't be included in game because of the lack of an MLBPA license.

They'll be downloadable from the forums and add ons central as usual though.

There is no MLBPA license, so no official player likenesses can be used. That sort of thing will still have to come from the modding community.

I am happy to report that pre-order numbers are through the roof compared to previous years. So, you can lay these worries to rest now and be happy together with us

While it would be ideal if the MLB had not put any limits on the game, I can understand that they would be twitchy about a feature which would either randomly attach a real-name player to PEDs, or worse, have settings for players to identify them as likely offenders for the generation of suspensions.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Hah, yeah like that

I do want to eventually include some of the better Euro leagues not yet in the game, not sure if I can convince Markus to do it though.

But even if it happens, the BBL won't be on the list!

Ok, nobody has answered these and I posted them twice. So I'll just assume the answers are:

1. Never

2. No, none of the above.

I don't think the BBL is even semi-pro is it? I think they literally pay expenses, if that. I would like there to be an actually good BBL, but unless I win the Euromillions jackpot and finance it myself or someone has a brain fart and makes me Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport it seems unlikely

hey at least the Pecos League had a really cool TV show in 2014 on Fox. Now the UBL... that league is suspect.

Well, an independent league—which, like any other professional sport, is in business to make money—that doesn't report attendance makes it sketchy IMO. Heck, even the summer college leagues such as the Cape Cod League or Northwoods League report attendance.

I don't disagree.

The main tipping point for me was that their stats are on Baseball Ref. If not for that, they probably wouldn't have made it.
