With a week to go in the 1964 season the Colt .45s unconditionally released pitcher Hal Brown and re-signed him as "a pitching coach for the remainder of the season."

Here are edited for facepack images of the 1966 Atlanta Braves coaching staff -- all old-timers who all lived to ripe, old ages.

Grover Resinger, new to Braves in '66, resigned when Bragan was fired as manager and Billy Hitchcock was promoted to take his place. Adair, who was managing AAA, joined the team late and carried over to 1967. Name: 1966 STAFF Bill Adair.png

A few years off, but here is Hofman in 1975 and Schoendienst (x3) in 1977.

Given we all tend to be obsessives on this site, I immediately latched onto the guy in the Cardinals uniform behind Coach Jones. After a brief time, I believe I've identified #18 as coach Claude Osteen. Whew...now I can get on with my day.

Continuing my Quest for Coaches - from the 1978 Braves I need Tom Burgess, Chris Cannizzarro (have B&W need color) and Cloyd Boyer (have a color image from about 1981, but need one from the late 70s era uniform.
