Here's the fully Photoshopped version. Interestingly the partial one somehow got posted earlier by someone other than myself. I know I posted this as a tutorial on how to change logos and modify colors. Here's the end result...enjoy

Phillies' minor leaguers, from the '50s until the late '60s, wore those uniforms - gray, with a script "P" over the heart - and usually a plain cap, or a variation of the Phils' big league cap.

They populate the Phils' yearbooks of the era - this is a fellow named Andre Bessette from the '59 book - and the '70 Phillies Topps rookie card shows both players wearing the same plain red cap Reams was wearing.

Thanks for your time! I'm working on player name audios for a Total Classics 1971 for MVP Baseball 2005 (pc). That one's been a REAL puzzle. I looked in Baseball Reference dot com, Lancer's Project and other places to no avail. Lancer had in there...BLASS-in-game. Yours make a little more sense. Another puzzle was Gogolewski. My wife called her "100% Polish" aunt, and when she asked the spelling, she immediately came out with "GO-go-LESS-ski". That is consistent with what I've seen since.

According to baseball-reference.com Leroy Reams spent 9 years in the minors, from 1962 to 1970 where he was the property of the Yankees, Phillies and Tigers (in that order). He got his one and only shot at major league competition at age 25 on May 7, 1969 with the Phillies. He is currently 71 years old

Saw him pitch, heard him referred to on radio and television, heard him introduced by Bob Sheppard (who routinely went into the clubhouses to ask players how to pronounce their names) over the PA system at Yankee Stadium, and Bill Gogolewski pronounced his name only one way:

Gogo-LOO-ski.

I think this is a minor league pitcher draftee named Chuck Bohling in camp with the '64 Dodgers, and neither he nor the photographer thought it was worth wiping off and then reapplying the sunscreen.

Thanks for this great picture of one of our rare Québec born player (town of Verdun) of the 1950s-early 60s. Not a great career...4 years in the Phillies minors, 5'9" Pitcher, 21-26 W-L, 4,92 ERA...but at least he tried!! Much appreciated!
