Manager gm News milestones

A nice addition would be a news story when a manager or player gm reaches a key milestone. 1000 or 2000 wins for example.

Just a thought.

thought there was for GM victories. But yes more milestone options are needed

when players pass a retired player in the top 10 or 20 of a stat category we should get an article, so and so just passed so and so to become 5th all time on the HR list.

managerial milestones, actually receiving articles when players break records as opposed to the spotty mess it is now.

I love the articles I just wish they always worked as intended.

My weekly statistical news article that comes with the power rankings and POW still displays the wrong stats sometimes for leaders and just about every three weeks it shows the heaviest players in my game as opposed to more diverse listings.

Certain articles prompt me to get 4 articles of the same event even.

lol at the heaviest players message. I get that so many times. It's all Muscle! Don't forget about team leader boards. It would be cool to be alerted that a player has roken a team record. Maybe a greedy player could use that in a contract negotiation?

Although you can check the milestone screen, I'd like a news item when a player is closing in on a special milestone like 3,000 hits or 300 wins. This would get you to follow results of players other than those you manage.

I would like if when a player retired if he was in say top 5 in some all time lists that got added to his history page so you can see how far some have fallen or haven't fallen

With me now hired with OOTPD as a text writer/editor, I can assure you that we do want to add a bunch of stuff like this into the game!

For OOTP 16 the main priority will be fleshing out the increased playoff news coverage that will be in the game, but for future versions I'm sure we can look at some of this stuff too!

That is great if we can get good playoff news then I can wait for other news story's, as long as there is one for a team making the playoffs for the first time/ or after a very long period of time there will no complaints from me

I think I'll need Matt to set up some more conditions in the text editor to make such a story possible, but it's definitely on the to-do list! (Which seems to grow by the day!

That will only really work if they fix the historical leaderboards.

I am constantly seeing things like "5th most doubles in a season!" with a total that is really something like 25th...

The season Leaderboards yes they have some issues but the career ones have always worked fine for me and are more important I would rather see story's of one of my players crack the top 100 in hits then the top 50 and so on, stuff like that helps keep people involved in the history of there leagues they build and rewards players for good careers. I had a player get about 2400 hits but he had 4 really good years the rest were not very good but he is in top 25 I liked watching him rise up near the end. If it's not possible that would be disapointing but I can't expect everything.
