I would like to see this too. You could even model it as simple as a single overall grade for the stadium that decays over time. This rating affects attendance and possibly also FAs to some extent. Maybe spending money on renovations ups it part way but you can't ever get the highest rating without a new stadium. It would give teams reasons to relocate (ie it would only happen if the stadium condition is poor and the team and city can't pay to build/renovate it but another city could).

The ballpark is a fundamental aspect of a club's financial picture, and is certainly an area I've considered for financial improvement, though again, in a somewhat more abstracted fashion to better fit with the relatively sparse available real-world data.

Stadium changes have a long history. A lot of folks may not realize it, but the ballparks of the 'classic' 16-team MLB era were renovated and changed numerous times. I highly recommend a visit to Clem's Baseball. This is a fantastic site for stadium info as it includes overhead diagrams of past and present parks at different points in the park's history, The Yankee Stadium of 1923 was different from the Yankee Stadium of 1938 and 1976.

There are lots of interesting facets which could be added to better recreate the close connection between baseball and the baseball park, for both historical and fictional leagues.
