The ballpark is a fundamental aspect of a club's financial picture, and is certainly an area I've considered for financial improvement, though again, in a somewhat more abstracted fashion to better fit with the relatively sparse available real-world data.
Stadium changes have a long history. A lot of folks may not realize it, but the ballparks of the 'classic' 16-team MLB era were renovated and changed numerous times. I highly recommend a visit to
Clem's Baseball. This is a fantastic site for stadium info as it includes overhead diagrams of past and present parks at different points in the park's history, The Yankee Stadium of 1923 was different from the Yankee Stadium of 1938 and 1976.
There are lots of interesting facets which could be added to better recreate the close connection between baseball and the baseball park, for both historical and fictional leagues.
