Not sure if this is in 16

I really love how in depth the game is, all the way down to the news items like owners dying or someone getting caught cheating. That stuff is what makes me keep buying the game.

One thing I hope is in 16 that I'm not sure every has been something in the previous versions, is player or star power to move the fan needle. Like a player that is a super star or maybe is in the middle of a long hitting or scoreless streak increasing fans to a game. Even bad teams tend to get a spike in ticket sales when something special or someone special is coming to their home town. Also, I've won the championship and the next season, opening day, I didn't sell out. That just isn't realistic. I also wish there was a spike in merchandise sales when a player from your team wins an award, which would represent real life.

Not sure if any of this has been talked about?

Thanks.

That's really more dependent on your ticket prices than anything else. Fan interest and loyalty likely play in too.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

We have tweaked the attendance model, so it will will now factor in more points (ie. we actually adjust based on day of the week, time of year, which pitchers are starting, etc..) We don't factor in hitting streaks or milestones, but those are things we could consider later.

That's great Matt, I have a feeling this version has a lot more 'under the hood' inclusions that will build that immersion.

Now this is some exciting news. Give me an improved financial engine over 3D ballparks every day and twice on Sunday!

Awesome news, Matt! I regularly check attendance and I love how the 1970s attendance numbers are so different from today in OOTP 15 and previous versions. So it will be great to see even more immersion with this.

Bill James had someone do some research on this in his Abstract (think it was the '85 edition).
